Sq-36 on location with smoke showing from a commercial building. Companies went in service with hand lines for fire second floor. Crews had a tough time locating the seat of the fire due to the layout of the building and having to force entry through numerous doors. Fire contained to a rear room.

Details:

42 Command went on location with heavy smoke in the area. PD Reported multiple subjects trapped in the rear and arriving companies quickly removed the trapped occupants. Command requested a 2nd alarm and Entrapment box for fire in the basement with entrapment. Several civilians and two Firefighters were transported to the local hospital. The Firefighters transported to local hospicalts had non life threatening injuries and were released shortly after.
