Dwelling Fire - City of Camden

Engine 10 reported a 2 story M/O/R dwelling with smoke showing from the 2nd floor, Battalion 1 placed all hands in service, the fire was brought under control quickly with no injuries. The Fire Marshal and Police were called to the scene, 1 arrest was made by Camden Police .

Command arrived at the Travel Lodge (300 Building) and reported a working fire placing all companies in service. Engine 1311 arrived first due and lead off with an 1 3/4 and 2 1/2 handlines. The fire started in the bravo side end unit and spread to 4 adjoining units. Fire was placed U/C around 30 minutes. No injuries were reported.

Chief-21 arrived on scene with smoke showing from a one story detached garage. Engine 21-1 (Lt. Paxson) arrived and dropped 200' of 5" supply line down the driveway and past the garage. The crew then stretched a 200' 1.75" handline to side "charlie" where they forced entry through the side door and began attacking the fire. Ladder 21 (Lt. Gray) staged along Park Street. The crew went into the scene and assisted with ventilation and overhaul.

Two Alarm Dwelling Fire - Hamburg

Companies arrived and an aggressive attack was initiated. While making an aggressive attack two firefighters from Hamburg Suffered injuries and were both transported to Leigh Valley - Cedar Crest with burns from collapsed ceiling. With this occurring EMS Command requested 2 additional ALS units above the initial ALS and BLS on scene. Due to the extensive fire with extension command requested RIT Companies from Berks County Co 85 (Spring Township) and Schuylkill County Haven Fire. Command also requested 2nd alarm and other special calls. Extensive damage was noted in initial fire building which was duplex and extended to the 3rd dwelling which was separated by a small alley. Approximately 100 Firefighters from Berks County and Schyulkill County responded to this incident.

Chester-11 arrived on location and reported heavy fire showing side 1 of the of a two story M/O/R. Squrt 81 arrived on location and went in service with an 1 3/4 attack line. Engine 82 arrived and pulled a second 1 3/4 and advanced it to the second floor. Tower 82 ventilated and performed primary and secondary searches and rescued a dog from the first floor. The occupant and two firefighters were transported to CCMC for minor injuries. The companies went available at approximately 11:00 hrs.

Chief 86 on scene with smoke showing from a single story commercial factory. Reported chemical reactor explosion. Fire in the chemical reactor and in the ventilation pipes. Reports of hazardous chemicals in the reactor. First in crews from Engine 86 and Tanker 86 put a good knock on the fire. Gained access to the ventilation pipe from the roof and extinguished the remainder of the fire by ladder 89 and 52 crews. Fire under control in about 2 hours. Units cleared at 0:34. Companies on scene Stations 86, 83, 89, Ladder 52, Engine 52, Rescue 53 for Air, Tower 53 as FAST, two EMS units from 336 and Haz-Mat Officer.
