Dwelling Fire - City of Camden

Battalion 2 reported a 2 story M/O/R occupied dwelling with smoke showing from the 2nd floor, placed all hands in service.Battalion 2 at the 10 minute mark had heavy fire from the 2nd floor, the fire was knocked down and placed under control. One civilian was treated on scene for smoke inhalation. The Fire Marshal is investigating.

Chief 10 on location with a 2 story wood framed dwelling heavy fire showing from the 2nd floor. All searches were negative with the exception of the crews finding a dog that had succumbed to the smoke and flames. At approx:06:45/hrs the fire was placed under control companies remained on scene for an extended period of time for overhaul.

CMD O/S of a 10 by 20 detached garage with heavy fire showing from Division C/D with exposure problems on Division B/D. Companies from Pine Hill and Gloucester Twp made quick work of the fire and the fire was placed within the twenty minute mark, with no injuries reported.

Units arrived on scene with working fire in a trailer home, reported people trapped. Engine 66-1 made an initial attack, however command pulled companies out due to heavy fire conditions. Companies went in service with exterior attack. Two additional engines requested. All searches were negative.

Chief 04-9 arrived on scene heavy smoke showing from a two story M/O/R. Command reported heavy fire first and second floor rear, requested the second alarm struck. Also reported wires down, requested PECO. Command ordered all companies out of the dwelling, heavy fire through out, third alarm struck for manpower. Fire extended to the exposures and through the roof of the fire dwelling.

Stations 77, 34 and 63 dispatched to a reported house fire. Assistant 77 on location reporting working fire, Chief 77 assumed Command. Rescue 86 sent at FAST team. Interior crews found heavy fire in the walls behind the stone fireplace. Attic crews also found fire and roof crews vented. Engine 66, 85 and Tower 53 special call for added manpower. Rescue 84 responded as cacade. Fire was under control but overhaul was hampered by the house size and construction. FM68 on location for investigation.

Engine 1191 arrived on scene with a working fire in a mobile home with a victim trapped. Crews placed a line in service and removed one victim from the dwelling. The victim was DOA. Crews made a quick knock.

Units arrived on scene with numerous school buses on fire at the North Brandywine Middle School. Command reported several hand lines in service. Total of seven buses were damaged. The fire was quickly ruled arson and is under investigation.

Police on patrol found heavy fire showing from a two story S/F/D with people trapped. The police officer and a neighbor used a ladder to rescued the victims from the dwelling. Chief-500 reported multiple hand lines in service. Requested additional Engine and ladder as well as a second RIT.

3620 immediately responded and was advised by Central that an employee called in reporting a fire in one of the fryers. Central advised 3603 that police were on location reporting heavy smoke showing. Quint 3624 arrived first on location and reported a one story restaurant with smoke showing from the roof. 3603 told Central that there was a fire that may be in the duct work and in the ceiling and crews were going into service with an 1 3/4 inch handline. 3620 had operations and 3603 had command. Engine 3631 supplied Quint 3624. Crews made quick knock of the fire. Units on scene: Battalion 3620, Quint 3614, Battalion 3603, Quint 3624, Ladder 3635, Engine 1352 (Cherry Hill), Engine 3631, Rescue 2218 (Evesham), Chief 2210, BLS units, and the Fire Marshall. 1 civilian was transported for smoke inhalation.
