Details:

Units arrived on scene with heavy smoke showing from a two story S/F/D with people trapped. Crews went in service with fire suppression and search and rescue. They located a deceased male on the interior and an unconscious female. The female victim was removed from the dwelling and flown via medical helicopter to a trauma center. The was pronounced at the hospital.
The State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the fire.

D/C-34 arrived on scene with fire in the kitchen and from the roof a three story restaurant. Crews went in service with a 2" line and knocked the bulk of the fire. One civilian was transported to the hospital with smoke inhalation.

Details:

Engine 661 arrived with smoke showing from a two story split level S/F/D. Crews stretched a hose line to the front door. As they proceed inside a small explosion occurred engulfing them in fire. Crews back out and command requested the evacuation tones sounded and the second alarm struck. Crews regrouped and went inside with several hand lines and knocked the fire.
One firefighter was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators found the cause of the explosion was from a TV near the door.

FM244-5 arrived on scene reporting smoke showing from the attached garage of S/F/D. AC9 (Molle) then reported heavy smoke showing from the dwelling and established Penndel Command, advised E8 to pick up the hydrant in front of the dwelling and go i/s with a 2" handline. L31 ,SQ13 , E7 , E21 , R9 (RIT) were being utilized . Medic units were checking the condition of the homeowner. Middletown Twp FMO is handling the investigation.
