Engine 29 arrived with smoke showing from the 1st and 2nd floor of a 4 story 100x200 vacant building. Placed 1 and 1 in service. B/C 4 arrived and placed 2 and 2 in service along with Rescue 1 and advised companies were forcing entry into the building. Crews located fire on the 1st floor. B/C 4 released the companies,

Battalion 1 (Matyjasik) arrived on scene with heavy smoke showing from a two story store front with apartments above, requested the second alarm on arrival. Command reported heavy fire on the second floor with fire extending to the exposure. Using all hands with multiple hand lines. One firefighter transported by UMDNJ EMS Camden for a minor burn. The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.

EMS had two car crash with initial reports of entrapment. Command advised no entrapment however two additional EMS units to the scene. One victim was transported to a nearby hospital where the victim was pronounced DOA.

B/C-12 reported reported some type of explosion in a store in a strip mall. All companies to stood by while PECO shut power to the building. Command reported crews entered the building and found heavy fire in the basement. Requested the second alarm. Numerous stang guns placed in service. Companies opened up the building.

BLS 9-9, Engine 9-4, Engine 911, Rescue 938 dispatched for MVC. FM-9 arrived to report a mini school bus stuck under an awning leaning on its side with injuries. Companies secured and stabilized the bus as well as shore up the awning for precautionary measures. At 1:41 AM, a caller from 8 Tipton Lane dialed 911 to report some type of fire in the rear of her residence. At 1:42 AM, Task Force 16, Station 169, Engine 272, Quint 361 and RIT 311 were dispatched to the rear of the residence for the fire.The police were O/L shortly advising an out building (20'x20') in Brodio Park (91 Twin Hill Dr.) to be fully involved. E1613 O/L minutes later confirming the report. 1603 advised central that the bulk of the fire was knocked down at 1:55 AM. C1600 advised central he can hold the assignment with the units on the street. C1600 requested the County FM to the scene as well as the building inspector and PSE&G. Companies were still O/L overhauling at 3:39 AM. Units cleared the scene around 6:00 AM as Stokely's came to board up 3 doors.

Details:

Companies were dispatched for a Fire alarm , while enroute fireboard advised of a smoke condition and police arrived to a working fire. Crews removed a subject from the 3rd floor and the subject was transported to the hospital. Crews had the fire knocked down in about 10 mins.

Command reported a 4 story garden style apartment building with fire on the 2nd floor using all hands. A 1 3/4" hand line was placed in operation as crews performed primary searches with negative results. At the 20 minute mark command reported the bulk of the fire knocked down with three 1 3/4" hand lines in operation. The fire was placed under control with no reported injuries.

Details:

Rescue 1, Squad 7, Ladder 3, Battalion 1 and EMS were dispatched for a vehicle into a house. Crews arrived to find a Network Wheelchair Van that crashed into the house with the driver trapped. Crews went into operation to free the trapped driver. Once the vehicle was removed, Ladder 3 worked from the bucket to knock down the loose bricks to prevent a public hazard.
