Engine 2 arrived to find a 3 story 18x65 vacant dwelling with heavy fire 1st floor rear. Placed 2 and 2 in service. B/C 8 arrived and reported companies were forcing entry into the dwelling and now had heavy smoke showing from the 2nd and 3rd floor. B/C 8 requested the box to be struck out. B/C 8 reported that the fire has extended to the 2nd and 3rd floors of the dwelling as well as the Delta exposure. B/C 8 ordered Rescue 1 to the roof to vent the fire building and ordered the 3rd due engine in service in the Delta exposure. B/C 8 advised conditions deteriorating and requested the emergency evacuation tones to be broadcasted. B/C 8 then placed the 4th due engine in service in the D exposure also and Engine 2 was preparing to place a deluge gun into service in the original fire dwelling. Deputy 2 arrived and advised the companies were making to progress. Deputy 2 placed the fire under control and held all hands.
