At approximately 12:50 PM, Station 178, 179, 172, Rescue 171, Rescue 439, Engine 431, & Medic 35 were dispatched to 27 Chelsea Place for a reported rescue assignment. Central advising incoming units that 1 victim was buried up to his waist. Medic 33 added to the assignment. 17201 O/L reporting 1 subject buried about knee level deep; in progress of being dug out. Further along into the assignment, CP17 advising the victim is now waist deep still trying to be extricated. Numerous mutual aid requested to the scene including: Camden County 13-3, Mercer County Trench Rescue Team, Station 221 (Evesham), & County Coordinator (1530). Along with the Fire & Rescue resources, numerous BLS units were on scene as well. A helicopter was requested to the scene, as the LZ was handled by RE1911. All units making good progress as the victim was still entrapped at 3:00 PM at which time Burlington County Regional Task Force "B" was dispatched to cover Station 431. At 3:30 PM, NJTF-1 was dispatched to the scene. The victim was extricated around 6:00 PM and expected to make a full recovery.
