Details:

At 1130hrs Companies were dispatched to area of Boundary Lane and Spruce Ave for a car reported in the water, with an occupant trapped. Upon the arrival of the BLS Unit 739, 739 reported a single vehicle accident with one pt still in the vehicle in the water, Rescue 628(Verga) was added to the assignment for the cold water suits. The patient was assisted to ground with help of the BLS Unit and a bystander, the patient was uninjured and refused treatment.

CMD O/S of 3 Story Duplex with fire showing from the rear. CMD reported he had a "active basement fire." Ladder 516 arrived 1st Due and went inservice with two 1" 3/4 handlines. The Fire was placed under control with 30 mintues. Mutal Aid for the all hands from 15-1, 9-2, 6-3, 6-6, 6-1, and 9-4. 2218 added for the RIC. FM-5 O/S for the investigation.

Engine 1022 and District Chief Hoffman 1001 arrived to report heavy smoke showing and companies are operating. 1016 Laddered the building as crews investigated and found the fire and contained it. Quick knockdown of fire and smoke throughout the building. 2nd alarm struck and special call for Ladder-Tower 936 from Deptford. FI's on scene.

Calls advising a vehicle inside the building on fire. 2218 arrived with a front end loader heavily involved halfway in the building and heavy smoke showing. 2218 went in service with 1 3/4 and had the fire knocked and under control in minutes. No extension problems. FM 22-1 on scene.

CMD was on scene fully involved vehicle fire on Francis Ave. Engine 621 arrived and went to work with an 1 3/4 line. The Engine crews did an extensive overhaul and were available within 45 minutes. The scene had been turned over to the West Deptford Fire Marshal's Office and West Deptford Police Department.

FM-9 on scene w/PD medium smoke showing division C confirming entrapment. 901 had command. 931 first due engine, 938 for primary search. 1 victim removed from the dwelling. Quick knockdown of fire. Pt. transported by BLS and ALS to Cooper Trauma. Fire investigators from township and county on scene. Press stated the occupant expired shortly before 2 a.m. at Cooper Hospital.
