King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Co. of Upper Merion Township in Montgomery County, PA has taken delivery of a 2009 Pierce Impel P.U.C. (Pierce Ultimate Configuration). Power will be supplied by a Cummins 543ci engine supplying 425hp and 1200ft-lbs of torque. There is a 1500GPM pump with pump-and-roll capability. Along with a 750 gallon water tank there is a 40 gal internal foam tank will allow the capability to flow class “B” foam though all discharges using the Pierce Husky 12 foam proportioning system. The new truck will be designated as Squad 47 and will be put into service in the coming weeks.
